Meizu is getting a new handset. Well not really a new name. The smartphone we are discussing is dubbed as Meizu MX5E. The name reminds about Meizu MX5. The handset got unveiled last year. Meizu MX5E features 5.5-inch AMOLED Display, MediaTek MT6795 SoC, 3GB RAM, 16MP primary camera, etc. Although the handset gets added to the similar title but some of the specs are teared down.
Specification-wise, the Meizu MX5E comes with 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED Display boasting a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels, and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. On the software front, it is running on Flyme 4.5 OS. It measures 149.90 x 74.7 x 7.60 and weighs about 149 grams.
On the hardware front, the smartphone MX5E is powered by MediaTek MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz. Memory-wise, the device packs 2GB of RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage and microSD card slot for extra storage. Earlier MX5was powered by 2.2 GHz clocked octa core CPU.
In terms of imaging, the Meizu gadget packs 16 MP rear facing camera with LED flash for photos and videos. For the secondary camera, the smartphone comes with 5MP front facing camera for video chats and selfies. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE (via SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/ g/ n/ ac, Bluetooth v4.10, GPS, microUSB, 3.5 mm headphone jack, etc. The gadget is powered by 3150mAh non-removable battery. MX5 comes with 20.7MP, so Meizu MX5E is the lighter variant.
The price tag on the Meizu MX5E gadget says RMB 1,399. It comes in two color variants i.e. Gold and White.
