The first slate or the debut tablet goes by the name AT&T Trek HD. It houses Android v5.0 Lollipop OS and adds to the budget range with 4G LTE connectivity. Trek HD phablet sports 8-inch display, quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, and 4,060 mAh battery life. AT&T is quite trusted for its carrier devices. Get ready to grab its first ever tablet that was announced today and will be hitting the stores in couple of days.
Folks in US will be able to grab the unit soon. AT&T Trek HD comes with mid-end specs but support and is a budget-user friendly device.
Coming to the specs-sheet, AT&T Trek HD features 8-inch HD Display having a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. On the software front, the tablet runs on Android v5.0 Lollipop OS. It measures 8.35 x 4.95 x 0.35 inches and weighs about 12 ounces. It also comes pre-installed with Google Now Launcher.
Under the hood, the tablet is powered by quad-core processor clocked at 1.6 GHz. Memory-wise, the AT&T device is offered with 1GB of Ram, 16GB internal storage and microSD card support for additional storage up to 32GB.
In terms of imaging, the AT&T Trek HD sports 5MP primary camera for photography and video recording. The handset comes with 2MP selfie snapper for video chats and self portrait. Connectivity-wise, the tablet supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB and 3.5m headphone jack. KIt is backed up by 4,060 mAh battery.
As per the pricing, the AT&T tablet is tagged priced at $49.99 on 24-months contract, or you can opt for the $10 per month continuing for 20 months via AT&T installment plan.
