Panasonic brings its next Eluga smartphone to Taiwan. The new smartphone is dubbed as Panasonic Eluga U2. Eluga series adds a new member with high-end specs and 64-bit processor chip. Folks in Taiwan can grab the unit first. The smartphone sports 5-inch display, 64-bit chipset coupled with 2GB RAM, 4G LTE and Android Lollipop. The device is tagged for NT$ 7990.
Eluga U2 with 7.95 mm thick body launched in Taiwan
The first Eluga from Panasonic launched in 2014. The earlier version was deprived of LTE connectivity. The new Eluga U2 comes with 4G LTE connectivity, better resolution and bit slimmer.
As per the specs-sheet, the Panasonic Eluga U2 sports 5-inch HD IPS OGS display having a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device measures 7.95 mm on its thicker ends, dimensions 141.5 x 71.3 x 8 mm and weighs 131 grams. On the software front, the handset is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Under the hood, the Eluga U2 packs quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked 1.2 GHz. For graphics, the smartphone comes with Adreno 306 GPU. Memory-wise, the handset is offered with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage that can be extended using expandable memory via microSD.
On the imaging terms, the new Panasonic Eluga U2 comes with 13MP rear facing camera with LED Flash for photography and recording videos at 1080p. The handset features 5MP front snapper for video chats and selfies. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/GLONASS, microUSB, FM Radio, etc. It is backed up by 2500 mAh battery. The handset comes with Dual SIM slots which are optional.
As per the color variants, the Eluga U2 is offered in Black and White option. Folks in Taiwan can grab the unit for NT$ 7990 ($254).
