Asus VivoTab Note 8 with 8” Display and Windows 8 OS Launched

The Vivo tablet runs on Windows 8 OS, boasts 8’’ display, powered by Intel Atom Z3740 chipset and comes with an affordable price tag. Asus VivoTab Note 8 is the first tablet from Asus shipped with 8-inch display and running on Windows 8 OS. The tablet is unveiled and specified date of availability globally announced yet.

Coming to the specifications, Asus VivoTab Note 8 (M80TA) runs on Windows 8 operating system and is powered by 1.86GHz clocked quad-core processor embedded in the Intel Atom Z3740 chipset. The tablet features 8-inch touchscreen display boasting a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. In terms of memory, the tablet boards 2GB of RAM, and 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage that is further expandable via microSD card support. The tablet dimensions measures 220.9 x 133.8 x 10.95 mm and weighs about 380g.

VivoTab Note 8 sports 5MP rear-facing camera for still images and video recording. It also equips 1.2MP front facing camera for video chats and self portrait. As per the connectivity, the Asus Tablet comes with necessary connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB port, GPS, etc. It packs a 3950mAh battery. The VivoTab embeds Wacom’s digitizer pen input technology to input data or drawings on the screen.

Since the tablet runs on Windows 8 it offers or comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student edition software. As per the pricing the tablet is quoted starting with $299.

If you are in Taiwan you can have your hands on the new Asus VivoTab Note 8 M80TA tablet. There is no word on its global availability yet but speculated to ship in near future.
