Acer C720 Chromebook Launched with 4th Generation Chipset

asus-c720-chromebookAcer launches Chromebook with fourth generation Intel Haswell Core i3 processor. The new Chomebook are dubbed same as earlier versions but has a different model number. Acer C720 Chromebook has two variants i.e. C720-3404 and C720-3871. Both the Chromebooks differ in terms of memory. The notebook features 11.6-inch display and powered by dual-core Intel Haswell Core i3 4005U processor.

Talking about the spec-sheet, Acer C720 Chromebook features 11.6-inch display having a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is chromebook so runs on Chrome OS.

Under the hood, the laptop packs an Intel Haswell Core i3 4005U dual-core CPU operated at 1.7GHz. Memory-wise, Acer C720-3404 boards a 4GB RAM while the other model Acer C720-3871 notebook packs 2GB of RAM. Both the device is offered with 32GB SSD. For graphics, the laptop is offered with Intel manufactured HD Graphics 4400 chip.

In terms of connectivity, the Acer laptop supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0, single USB 2.0, and a single HDMI port. It also includes a battery that offers 8.5 hours.


The new version will be offering much better and faster performance than before. It also accompanies Acer FineTip keyboard and Multi-Gesture Touchpad.

As per the prices, the Acer C720-3404 Chromebook is priced for $379 USD. On the other hand, Acer C720-3871 Chromebook is tagged for $349. US folks can probably have their hands on the new Acer C720 Chromebook but exact date of availability is still unknown. We will update once Acer announces it for Pre-Orders.
