Previously we learned about Samsung launching four new entry level smartphones. The Indian vendor is has launched an entry level affordable smartphone in the Country dubbed as Micromax Canvas Duet AE90. It is a 4.5-inch smartphone powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The Canvas Duet AE90 is already available in the Country for price below 10K via online retailers.
Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 has no out of the box to cheer on. Like other entry level handsets in the market it possesses similar specs and Android version is a disappointment. But if you are looking for a handset with 1GB RAM and couple of camera despite the older OS version can consider the handset for INR 8,545 – 8,999.
Talking about the specs-sheet, Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 is running on the oldest v4.1.2 Android OS. It is powered by 1.2GHz ticked quad-core processor. Memory-wise, the device houses 4GB onboard storage, 1GB RAM, and for additional storage it supports microSD card.
The handset features 4.5-inch qHD touchscreen display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels. On the back, the Canvas Duet AE90 sports 5MP rear snapper with Autofocus and LED flash to click pictures and videos. There is a VGA (0.3MP) front facing camera at the front side. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone support usual set of options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, and comes with Dual-SIM (GSM+ CDMA) slot. It is backed up by 1800mAh battery.
To remind you, the newly announced Samsung smartphones are Galaxy Ace 4, Core 2, Young 2 and Star 2 are entry level smartphones with modest specs and are running on the KitKat OS (Android v4.4).
Comparing Micromax Canvas Duet AE90 with the newly launched Samsung smartphones, the former runs on older version of OS which is utter disappointment since there are other smartphones that are running much newer version OS and similar specs sheet.
