Intex Hero Basic feature phone from Intex

intex heroIntex Hero is a basic feature phone from Intex to cater to the needs and requirements of the lower class people who do not have much budget to spend on. Intex is one of the domestic phone makers in India who have constantly launched their products in this price range and it shows that even in the age of the loaded touchscreen smartphones, the basic phones still exist and have a very good market to keep the manufacturers interested. There are a lot of products available in this price range and though you don’t get various features in this range, but there’s certainly a lot to look up to before buying a phone. Now let us have a look at what the Intex Hero has to offer.

The Intex Hero has a 2.4 inch TFT Screen with a resolution of 240 x 320pixels and supports 262K colors. It weighs just 97 grams and has dimensions of 121.5 x 51 x 14.3 mm. It is a small and slick phone which is really easy to use and carry. The looks and design is pretty simple and straight forward and is made up of a good plastic. Though there isn’t much internal memory to boast about, but it has an expendable memory up to 16GB. The phone has a dedicated audio and video player and hence you can utilize the complete 16 GB by storing various songs and videos on the device.

The Intex Hero also has a rear camera which is 1.3MP and has a resolution of 1280×1024 pixels. The camera is a quality addition to the device and lets you take good pictures. Though you can’t expect great picture quality with such a camera, but still it is a pretty decent camera at such a price. There isn’t any LED Flash or a front camera, but you can’t expect them at this price. There is Bluetooth and USB support for connectivity through which you canĀ share multimedia content with other devices. But the device doesn’t have GPRS, EDGE, 3G or WLAN and hence you cannot browse the web. This is a major miss as internet is required by almost everyone and Intex has certainly messed up here.

It has a Li-ion 1,800 mAh battery with a standby time of about 600 hours and a Talk time of about 720 minutes. This is quite good and the phone easily lasts more than a day with a single charge. Overall we can say that at just Rupees 1,800 approximately, this is a really good device. With an extendable memory, a pretty decent camera and good battery backup, it certainly provides good options to the potential buyers. But the inability to browse the web is really a crucial miss and can come back to haunt Intex by stopping the device from being a success. We would recommend you to look somewhere else if you want web browsing, but if you are content without it, then you should consider buying this device.
