The updates for SD1 and Photo Pro have been released by Sigma in order to support its 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM lens. This updates has been released for SD1 and also for the SD1 Merrill cameras. The update was already speculated by the experts and they felt that it was necessary as the lens needed a better support from cameras.
In its camera update, Sigma has improved the color in certain areas of the image when aperture is wide open. The software has also undergone a few important changes. The Photo Pro software of Sigma has been changed for taking raw images with the help of SD1 camera and the lens mentioned above, i.e., 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM.
When the SD1 camera integrates with the 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM lens, it automatically works on the colors of the image pattern when the picture is taken at the aperture of F1.8 or even around that margin. After the image is taken with the combo of 18-35 F1.8 DC HSM lens and SD1 or SD1 Merrill camera, the image is then processed and developed through the RAW data file.
This update is seen as the game changer for Sigma’s fortunes in the market as it was necessary and the market experts had already anticipated it. The image quality will be bettered after this update for sure.
