After announcement of Galaxy S5 from Samsung, which would be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 800 processor, even a lesser known firm OnePlus has announced its plans to embed its upcoming new version of One smartphone with the new processor too. Previously, an announcement was made from HTC company side too to equip its new model of HTC One with the same 801 processor. The new processor features several performance improvements and provides features like faster battery charging, ultra HD video recording, etc.
As per the actual reports and comparison charts, the new processor features about 75% faster charging as compared to its predecessor 800. Speaking technically, it is a quad core 2.5 GHz processor with inbuilt Adreno 230 GPU chip. It boasts a 28 nm processing chip for ultimate level performance. It comes with built in LTE and Bluetooth 4.0 support. The new company OnePlus announced its plans to go for the 801 processor by updating its Google Plus cover picture. If the new phone comes preloaded with 801 processor, it would surely pack some of the strongest specs currently available in the market. The company is yet to reveal other details on the same.
Nothing much can be said about the upcoming product before any news is leaked from the company provided that the company is new in this field and this would be the first smartphone to be launched from its side in the market. There are of course rumors in the market that the phone might come up with ultra HD video playback and recording support provided that it packs the latest 801 processor. There’s nothing much known about the hardware quality though. It is expected that the company might launch the new phone with attractive price tag.
It would be interesting to see how people respond to a highest end smartphone packing the premium features coming from an entirely new company. One thing’s for sure and that is the demand for the new product would certainly depend on the price tag with which it becomes available to the common mass. If the company succeeds in keeping the price low, then this product an certainly create hype among the users especially youngsters who are always crazy to get their hands on the latest technology but are bounded by factors like limited pocket money.
